Restaurant inventory and recipe costing software

A restaurant's margin hides in the kitchen: a dish priced in January on last year's paneer rate, spoilage written off without a name, and purchase orders paid from a drawer. The till knows what was sold. Nothing knows what it cost.

The system built for Mirari ties the three together. Purchases update ingredient prices, recipes recost themselves, preparing a dish checks the stock first, and the owner sees profit and loss for any date range without a spreadsheet.

Where it usually breaks

01

A dish is sold at a loss for two months because nobody recosted it after the supplier raised prices.

02

Spoilage is a lump sum at month end, so the same vegetable is over-ordered again next month.

03

Purchase orders are paid in parts from cash and bank, and the vendor's statement never matches the restaurant's.

In production

From Mirari Restaurant ERP. The back office for Mirari (Sunny Da Dhaba), a restaurant: purchases and stock, daily sales and the month's profit, recipes costed to the ingredient, staff attendance, and the utility bills. Six modules on a tablet, built 2024 to 2026.

A recipe: difficulty, cost price, selling price and margin, then servings, times, nutrition and the ingredient list with rates

Recipes costed to the ingredient

Each recipe lists its ingredients at the rate the restaurant last paid, so the dish has a cost, a selling price and a margin. Change a supplier's rate and every dish that uses the item moves with it.

The prepare screen for a recipe: servings, each ingredient's required and available quantity, and a red row where stock has run out

Preparing a dish checks the stock first

The chef enters how many servings. The screen shows what each ingredient needs against what is on the shelf, and refuses when something has run out. Preparing deducts the ingredients from stock.

The inventory list: item, category, rate, opening and closing stock, pending stock, value on the shelf and the last purchase date

Stock on the shelf

Every item shows what is on the shelf, what is still to arrive, what it is worth at the last rate, and when it was last bought. Items below their reorder level are flagged on the purchases screen.

The profit and loss report: total income, total expense and net profit for the range, with the daily trend chart

Profit and loss for any date range

Pick two dates and the report shows income, expense and the profit between them, day by day. The dips on the chart are the days the rent and the salaries went out.

What it costs

Builds of this shape usually start at the Standard package, from ₹8 lakh, paid in stages as each part goes live. Hosting runs on your own accounts and there is no charge per user.
